Schedule of Events
Commencement Rehearsal is Friday, May 11, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. Please meet at the Joe Charles Field House. All students participating in commencement are expected to attend. If a student is unable to participate in the ceremony, please contact the Registrar's Office. Honor cords will be distributed at rehearsal.
The Pinning Ceremony for nursing graduates will be Friday May 11, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Madison Park Christian Church, Quincy Ill.
Baccalaureate is Friday, May 11, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. in the Alexander Campbell Auditorium. Graduates are strongly encouraged to attend this inspirational service. Graduates are to wear caps and gowns.
Commencement is Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony will take place on the lawn of the Quadrangle (adjacent to Henderson Hall). In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Joe Charles Field House. Seating will begin at 7:30 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are not required for commencement. Please remember that there is limited seating at the graduation ceremony. Therefore, use your common sense and good judgment when inviting guests to the ceremony. We want everyone attending to have a seat.
If special consideration needs to be made for guests who are physically challenged, please inform the Registrar's Office.
A shuttle service will be provided for parking in distant parking lots, including the Comfort Inn.
A post-commencement reception will be held on the brick plaza between Johnson Hall and the Gladys Crown Student Center immediately following commencement. The reception is complimentary for graduates and their guests.
Regalia
Caps and gowns can be ordered by students by logging in to MyCulver and selecting the Graduation Information link from the Student tab. The $100 graduation fee covers the cap, gown, diploma and other fees associated with graduation. This fee is added to the student's account in the semester the student intends to graduate. Caps and gowns will be available for pick-up at the Logo Store. Class rings may be ordered at www.jostens.com. Information on ordering class rings is available in the Logo Store.
Announcements
To order personalized announcements online, go to www.herffjones.com/college. Non-personalized announcements will be available for purchase at the Logo Store.
Pictures and Video
A professional photographer will be at the commencement ceremony to take photos of graduates as they receive their diploma. A videographer also will produce a professional DVD of the commencement ceremony. Photos and DVD's may be ordered after March 1.
