Business
Bachelor of Science Degree Programs in the Business Division at Culver-Stockton College are designed to provide graduates with the basic tools, skills, knowledge and general preparation needed to begin a successful career in business. The programs offer a well-rounded and complete exposure to the integration of business and society and provide opportunities for depth of study in specialized areas to prepare for productive entry-level positions in career fields or graduate studies.
The programs are build around three integrated and mutually complementary areas of study:
- the general education requirements for all Culver-Stockton students
- business tool courses
- the major area
Accreditation and Memberships
The Business Department is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) and participates in a local chapter of the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society for students in business, management, and administration.
Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in:
- Business Administration
A major in Business Administration provides tools that will help graduates in a variety of career choices as well as in graduate studies or law school. The business program helps to develop communication, reasoning, and team work skills. Many business classes offer opportunities to give presentations and encourage verbal interaction in class. - Management
The management major builds on an exposure to all functional areas of business with coursework designed to familiarize you with the managerial aspect of organizations and decision-making tools and processes. The major, combined with the proper coursework drawn from other areas, can be a particularly effective preparation for graduate studies in business. Minors Available:
- Finance
The major in finance is designed to prepare the student for a career in financial analysis, investment analysis, financial management and/or financial planning. A professional internship and participation in the Student Investment Group are strongly encouraged. If time and schedule permit, the student is encouraged to develop strengths in economics, accounting and computer science. Minors Available:
