Major Computer Information Systems Major The Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) is designed to prepare students for productive, professional contributions in a broad spectrum of computer information and computer-oriented business positions. It offers a practical curriculum that provides a background for immediate employment in applications programming, information systems, computer operations, databases, computer networking and activities on the World Wide Web. The requirements for a Bachelor of Science degree in CIS include 31 hours of Computer Information Systems and Management Information Systems courses and 24 hours of business courses, as outlined below.
