Management Information Systems Minor
Culver-Stockton College offers a strong minor in Management Information Systems (MIS). The minor in MIS is designed to offer students a concentrated study in the application of computer-assisted methods to management strategies. It introduces development tools, database systems, and other information management techniques used by organizations and work groups. The requirements for the minor are listed below.
Required MIS Core Courses - 12 Hours
- MIS 210 - Business Programming (3 hrs)
- MIS 220 - Management Information Systems (3 hrs)
- MIS 225 - Computer Applications in Business (3 hrs)
- MIS 450 - Systems Analysis and Design (3 hrs)
Six more hours of CIS and/or MIS classes, selected from the following, are also required.
- CIS 230 - Web Design (3 hrs)
- MIS 320 - Intelligent Systems (3 hrs)
- MIS 410 - Database Systems (3 hrs)
- MIS 430 - Decision Support Sys (3 hrs)
- MIS 489 – Electronic Commerce (3 hrs)
