Physical Education

 

Health and physical fitness are vital to the well-being of young and old alike. Physical educators play an important role in the wellness education of our nation's youth.

The Bachelor of Science in Physical Education degree program is designed to prepare majors for entry into the professional teaching ranks or allied areas, such as coaching, requiring a knowledge of physical education training. This degree also carries with it the certification for health education (K-12). Students wishing to certify will student teach six weeks in elementary physical education and six weeks in secondary physical education and health.
