ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH

Culver-Stockton College is seeking two qualified candidates for two full-time positions of Assistant Football Coach.  C-SC offers experiential learning with a 12-3 academic calendar which provides an innovative four-year program of studies and experiences that prepares students for career success like no other college or university in the nation.  Culver-Stockton College fields 18 NAIA sports which compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

In accordance with all NAIA, Heart of America Athletic Conference and Culver-Stockton College policies and procedures, the position of Assistant Football Coach will report to the Head Football Coach and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of a competitive NAIA football program within the guidelines of the NAIA and assisting the head coach with recruiting responsibilities and other job duties as assigned.

Candidates should have successful experience coaching at the collegiate level and have the ability to recruit and motivate student –athletes.  The successful candidate must also demonstrate a strong commitment to academic success and compliance with NAIA, HAAC and institutional policies and procedures.  A Bachelor’s Degree is required.  Salary will commensurate with experience and C-SC also offers a competitive benefits package.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY

POSITION DUTIES:    Teach courses such as anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, pathophysiology, microbiology, genetics, evolution, cell biology and other related courses.  Participation in undergraduate research is expected through the advising and/or formal teaching duties associated with senior biology research courses.  Culver-Stockton College is a full member participant in the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s (HHMI) Science Education Alliance National Genomics Research Initiative.  The successful candidate will be expected to participate in teaching an innovative, research-based two semester course for first-year students as part of this HHMI partnership.

The position requires a Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences or closely related field or ABD (attainment of a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or a closely related field and completion of a course of study leading to a Doctorate, except for the dissertation).

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Business Administration.  This is a full-time position with a possibility to be tenure-track in a dynamic business program beginning in August of 2015.  Courses that will be taught by this position include investments, money and banking, international finance, economics and other business related topics and it is preferred that the successful candidate be a finance specialist with an emphasis on economics.  Additional responsibilities include academic advising, committee work, and assisting in student recruitment.

CAMPUS SAFETY OFFICER

Culver-Stockton College has an immediate opening for a full time Campus Safety Officer.  This is a 12-month position that will have responsibilities in both security and physical plant.  Work hours for this position will vary and include shifts on days, nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide 24 hour coverage as needed.  During the academic year primary responsibilities will include security work such as securing and opening buildings, conducting investigations, report writing, issuing tickets for policy violations, safety checks, patrols and other assigned duties related to basic maintenance tasks.  During the summer months responsibilities will include working with the physical plant on tasks such as mowing, basic landscaping work, trash removal, painting and assisting other physical plant staff with projects.

The candidate must be prepared for physically demanding activities and must be able to spend long periods of time on their feet and traverse all types of terrain in all types of weather.  Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs frequently, and to lift and carry weights of up to 75 pounds. Excellent teamwork and people skills are critical due to frequent contact and interaction with faculty, staff, and students.  A current driver’s license is required along with computer experience and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.  Must have a strong ability to communicate effectively by radio or telephone in stressful conditions and prior safety/security experience a plus but is not required.

COORDINATOR OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Coordinator of Foreign Languages.  This is a part-time position beginning in August of 2015.  The successful candidate will teach traditional classroom courses in Spanish and perhaps other languages (depending upon areas of expertise) in addition to coordinating hybrid courses using Rosetta Stone software. DIRECTOR OF CAREER AND INTERNSHIP SERVICES

Culver-Stockton College is hiring for an enthusiastic career development professional to lead and direct the C-SC career education program.  The Director of Career and Internship Services will demonstrate career advising expertise in work with both individual and groups regarding the job search process, career planning, job search strategies, résumé development, internships, career aptitude, professionalism, image coaching and branding, networking, and assessing individual skills, aptitudes and values.  This position will also foster partnerships with local, national and international employers in order to identify employment and pre-professional development opportunities for students and alumni and advise students on issues of major and career choice as well as other duties to advance the mission and goals of Culver-Stockton College.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required with a Master’s Degree preferred and 3-5 years work experience in higher education or related field.  A sound knowledge of career development theory, excellent writing, organization, and public speaking skills are necessary.  Experience working with diverse individuals and groups, with proficiency in technological applications and career assessment instruments is required.  The successful candidate must have evidence of an ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education.

HEAD CHEER COACH

Culver-Stockton College is accepting applications for a part-time Head Cheer Coach.  C-SC offers experiential learning with a 12-3 academic calendar which provides an innovative four-year program of studies and experiences that prepares students for career success like no other college or university in the nation.  C-SC fields 18 NAIA sports which compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) and the Mid-American Men’s Volleyball Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MAMVIC).  

In accordance with all NAIA, Heart of America Athletic Conference and Culver-Stockton College policies and procedures, the position of Head Cheer Coach reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the entire operation of the cheer squad, including (but not limited to) the recruitment of student-athletes, practice and contest planning, participate skill development, and budget oversight.

Candidates should possess a demonstrated record of success coaching cheerleaders, preferably at the collegiate level, the ability to recruit and motivate student-athletes, a strong commitment to academic success as well as compliance with NAIA, HAAC and institutional policies and procedures.  Bachelor’s Degree required.

Compensation consists of $5,000.00 per year.

RESIDENT DIRECTOR

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a responsible candidate for the quarter-time position of Resident Director.  This is a 10-month, live-in position that plays a key role in the Residence Life’s Department goal of ensuring a living learning environment conducive to the personal development for approximately 550 students living on campus.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: establishing a presence in the hall as a live-in professional staff member, assisting the Community Assistant in assessing the needs of the residents, communicating facility concerns, dealing with problematic situations, and responding to emergency situations as needed.  The Resident Director will also participate in an on-call rotation for evening and weekends.

Bachelor’s degree required and 2 years experience working with college aged students preferred.  Ability to work on nights/weekends (approximately 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month outside of August and January training seasons).
