ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF BUSINESS

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Business.  This is a full-time position with a possibility to be tenure-track in a dynamic experientially-based business program.  The college seeks a finance and accounting specialist who will teach investments, money and banking, international finance, Principles of Accounting I and II, and other courses as necessary within the business department.  Additional responsibilities include academic advising, committee work, assisting in student recruitment and other duties as necessary to advance the College’s mission and goals.

Master’s Degree with significant business experience is required with a Ph.D. preferred.  Ph.D. is required for tenure-track positions; candidates with a Master’s degree will be considered for a renewable lecturer position.  Successful teaching experience in the classroom and online preferred.  The successful candidate must have evidence of an ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education and experiential learning.

ASSISTANT SOFTBALL COACH

Culver-Stockton College is accepting applications for a part-time Assistant Softball Coach. C-SC offers experiential learning with a 12-3 academic calendar which provides an innovative four-year program of studies and experiences that prepares students for career success like no other college or university in the nation. C-SC fields 18 NAIA sports which compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC).

In accordance with all NAIA, Heart of America Athletic Conference and Culver-Stockton College policies and procedures, the position of Assistant Softball Coach reports to the Head Softball Coach and is responsible for assisting in administering the entire operation of the program including (but not limited to) the recruitment of student-athletes, practice and contest planning, participate in player skill development, and other duties assigned by the Head Coach.

Candidates should have success coaching or playing softball, preferably at the collegiate level or high school level, the ability to recruit and motivate student-athletes, a strong commitment to academic success as well as compliance with NAIA, HAAC and institutional policies and procedures. Bachelor’s Degree required.

ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH (Part-Time)

Culver-Stockton College is accepting applications for three Part-Time Assistant Football Coaches. The Part-Time Assistant Football Coaches will assist with coaching defensive positions (2 open coaching positions) and offensive positions (1 open coaching position) and special consideration will be given to candidates who could also assist with the Track and Field program.  C-SC offers experiential learning with a 12-3 academic calendar which provides an innovative four-year program of studies and experiences that prepares students for career success like no other college or university in the nation. In accordance with all NAIA, Heart of America Athletic Conference and Culver-Stockton College policies and procedures, the position of Part-Time Assistant Football Coach reports to the Head Football Coach and is responsible for assisting with the coaching of defensive and/or offensive positions and assisting in administering the entire operation of the program.  Responsibilities will include recruitment of student-athletes, film breakdown and evaluation, practice planning, participation in player skill development, meetings with players and staff and other duties  as assigned by the Head Coach. 

Candidates should have success coaching or playing football, preferably at the collegiate level, the ability to recruit and motivate student-athletes, a strong commitment to academic success as well as compliance with NAIA, Heart, and institutional policies and procedures. Bachelor’s Degree required and special consideration given to candidates with Track and Field collegiate level experience.

ASSISTANT MEN’S/WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL COACH

Culver-Stockton College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Men’s/Women’s Volleyball Coach.  C-SC offers experiential learning with a 12-3 academic calendar which provides an innovative four-year program of studies and experiences that prepares students for career success like no other college or university in the nation.  C-SC fields 18 NAIA sports which compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference and the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Conference (NAIAMVB).

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Registrar’s Office and Education Department)

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to work in the Registrar’s Office and the Education Department. This position will have responsibilities in the Registrar’s Office that will include but are not limited to greeting and assisting office traffic, answering the phone and general office duties, processing transcript requests and maintaining the academic calendar on the website.  This position will also assist with room reservations, preparing orientation materials, opening of school information, and administering standardized-testing programs.

In the Education Department this position will be responsible for assisting in the management of the Teacher Education Program and education majors including file management for all program paperwork, maintenance of certification spreadsheets, communication with majors and advisors, and maintenance of all DESE paperwork. This position will also assist with the placement of students for field experiences, coordinating major events, assisting with department assessments and assisting departmental faculty with professional membership updates, conference registrations and payments and other reimbursement paperwork. 

Qualified applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma plus at least three years of relevant formal training or work experience, bachelor’s degree preferred. Other requirements include experience with computer software including word processing and spreadsheets as well as excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

CAMPUS SAFETY OFFICER

Culver-Stockton College has an immediate opening for a full time Campus Safety Officer. This is a 12-month position that will work 32 hours per week and have responsibilities in both security and physical plant. Work hours for this position will vary and include shifts on days, nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide 24 hour coverage as needed. During the academic year primary responsibilities will include security work such as securing and opening buildings, conducting investigations, report writing, issuing tickets for policy violations, safety checks, patrols and other assigned duties related to basic maintenance tasks. During the summer months responsibilities will include working with the physical plant on tasks such as mowing, basic landscaping work, trash removal, painting and assisting other physical plant staff with projects.

The candidate must be prepared for physically demanding activities and must be able to spend long periods of time on their feet and traverse all types of terrain in all types of weather. Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs frequently, and to lift and carry weights of up to 75 pounds. Excellent teamwork and people skills are critical due to frequent contact and interaction with faculty, staff, and students. A current driver’s license is required along with computer experience and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Must have a strong ability to communicate effectively by radio or telephone in stressful conditions and prior safety/security experience a plus but is not required.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT COORDINATOR

Culver-Stockton College is hiring for a full-time International Student Coordinator that will provide academic advising to international students and be responsible for maintaining the F-1 and J-1 visas and government financial support as well as support in all other areas as necessary.  The International Student Coordinator will be responsible for relationship management and maintaining personal contact with prospective and current students throughout the registration and enrollment process, assist students with obtaining employment after graduation, serve as a Designated School Official for SEVIS and will be the advisor for the International Student Organization.  This position will work the Admission and Financial Aid Office to centralize the financial guarantee processing for international agencies whose governments provide educational funding, and will collaborate with the Admissions Office and Student Life to facilitate and coordinate Orientation for the International Students. The International Student Coordinator will also arrange tutoring for international students and may serve as a tutor at times, will teach once course each semester, as well as other duties as necessary to advance the mission and goals of Culver-Stockton College.

A Bachelor’s Degree in education, ESL or related field is required along with experience working with diverse populations.  Preferred qualifications included a Master’s Degree in education, ESL or related field along with teaching experience and experience working with college students who speak English as a second language. COORDINATOR OF INTRAMURAL SPORTS

Culver-Stockton College is hiring for a part-time Coordinator of Intramural Sports who will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Intramural Programs. Responsibilities will include developing, implementing and assessing a wide range of leagues, competitions and events for students and the campus community.  The Coordinator of Intramural Sports will maintain the Intramural Programs manual of operations and policies, assist in the implementation of risk management policies and maintain records relative to participation and equipment inventory.  This position will work nights and weekends and must maintain a supervisor presence at all intramural events as well as other duties as necessary to advance the college’s mission and goals. 

A Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Sport Administration, Physical Education or related field is required with a Master’s Degree preferred. Must have at least 2 years of experience working with college aged students and have experience coordinating competitive sport programs and must be certified in First Aid and CPR.

DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri is seeking a proactive and entrepreneurial Development Officer (DO) that will report directly to the Senior Director for Advancement and Alumni Relations.  The Development Officer will be working in close collaboration with a highly talented development team and the Development Officer will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with prospective donors, developing strategies for their cultivation, and soliciting gifts at both the major gift and leadership gift level.  An average of five face-to-face donor contacts weekly in addition to phone and email contacts will be expected as well as other duties as necessary to advance the College’s mission and goals.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree (graduate or professional degree preferred) and will have 5+ years of formal development experience, preferably in higher education; however, those with a similar record of professional service and who exhibit the knowledge of and skills for professional development work will receive careful consideration.

In addition, the successful candidate should be highly collaborative in approach, demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills necessary for building relationships with various college constituents, both internal and external. Qualified applicants must have a professional background of meeting established goals and objectives in a timely manner related to the areas of sales, marketing or fundraising.  Some evening and weekend commitments will be required as well as the ability and willingness to travel, including overnight, as necessary.
