Merit Scholarships

First-Year Scholarships

Pillars for Excellence Scholarship: Full-tuition for four years at the student's freshman tuition value. This competition scholarship is awarded to a limited number of students with superior academic achievement. Eligible students will be asked to complete an essay and will be invited to campus to compete for this selective scholarship by participating in an interview with two faculty members. Eligibility: Minimum 26 ACT or 1170 SAT (Critical Reading and Math) and a minimum 3.75 GPA based on a 4.0 grading scale (or equivalent) or Top 10% of graduating class (If class rank is unavailable, students must meet the other two requirements to be eligible to compete). The scholarship is renewable provided the student maintains a 3.20 GPA.
 Pillars recipients are ineligible for additional institutional scholarships or awards throughout their career at C-SC.

Trustee's Scholarship: $44,000 ($11,000 per year for four years).

President's Scholarship: $36,000 ($9,000 per year for four years). 

Hilltop Scholarship: $28,000 ($7,000 per year for four years).

Wildcat Scholarship: $20,000 ($5,000 per year for four years).

Eligibility: Awarded based upon academic credentials and renewable provided the student remains in good academic standing.

Transfer Students

Dean's Scholarship: $9,000 each year.  Eligibility: Admitted students are nominated with a minimum 3.40 college GPA. The scholarship is renewable provided the student remains in good academic standing.

Faculty Scholarship: $8,000 each year. Eligibility: Admitted students are nominated with a minimum 2.80 college GPA. The scholarship is renewable provided the student remains in good academic standing.

Transfer Scholarship: $7,000 each year. Eligibility: Admitted students are nominated with a minimum 2.25 college GPA. The scholarship is renewable provided the student remains in good academic standing.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship: A $1,000 scholarship may be available to transfer students who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. 
Eligibility: Admitted students are nominated with a minimum 3.50 college GPA. The scholarship is renewable provided the student remains in good academic standing.

Partners In Education Scholarship : $1,000 scholarship may be available in participation with community colleges. 

Partner's in Nursing Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship may be available to transfer nursing majors.
