Tammy (Stone) Ellison ’00 is not only a proud alumna of Culver-Stockton College she is also a C-SC staff member. She graduated from Culver-Stockton in 2000 and then went on to earn a Master of Library and Information Science from Drexel University. Tammy now works as an assistant librarian at C-SC’s Johann Memorial Library. She says the most exciting aspect of her career is that she is able to give back to Culver-Stockton on a daily basis. “I love my job because each day is a new experience. Not only do I get to interact with all ages, but I get to help open up a world of knowledge to people. You can’t compare those ‘light bulb’ moments to anything.” 

While at C-SC, Tammy was an active member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, Disciples of Christ, Christians Fellowship Group, Into the Streets, Collegiate Choir, and she received the 2008 Greek Advisor of the Year award. “C-SC gave me the opportunity to be myself and experience the ‘real world’ before graduation. There are not many schools that allow you the hands-on experience that Culver-Stockton offers.”

Tammy and her husband, Jim Ellison ’96, live in Canton, Mo., and have four children – Patrick, 8, Isaac, 6, Robert, 4, and Elizabeth, 22 months.
