Linksters compete at HAAC, Region event

The Culver-Stockton College men's golf team competed in the Heart of America Athletic Conference and Region V Tournaments, which were played concurrently last week at Paradise Point Golf Club in Smithville, Mo.
The Wildcats placed seventh in the HAAC portion of the event with a three-day score of 991 (326-327-338). That score was also used for the Region V event and the Wildcats placed 11th overall.
Jacob Newton was the Wildcats' best finisher with a three-day total 246 (79-82-85). That was good enough to place him 24th in the HAAC eventh and 40th in the Region V event.
Brice Baker was the second-highest finisher for the Wildcats, placing 25th in the HAAC and 43rd in the Region V event with a score of 248 (83-79-86).
Mat Sigman, Marcus Shalley and Chris Efthim also particpated for the Wildcats during the two events.
