Linksters place third at HLGU Fall Invitational

The Culver-Stockton College men's golf team placed third at the Hannibal-LaGrange Fall Invitational earlier this week at Norwoods Golf Course in Hannibal, Mo.
The Wildcats shot a two-day total of 661 (+85) to finish seven strokes ahead of four-place finisher Evangel University. Hannibal-LaGrange won the event with 635 (+59) while Central Methodist ended up second with a 646 (+70).
Individuallly, the Wildcats' Chris Neal placed second overall with a two-day total of 11-over 155 (75-80) on the par 72 course. He was seven shots behind medalist Lucas Morande of HLG, who shot four-over 148 (74-74).
Matt McVey placed seventh overall with a score score of 164 (87-77), while David Vazquez placed ninth with a two-day total of 167 (87-80). Josh Davis was the fourth-highest scoring Wildcat with a score of 173 (82-91), which was good for a tie for 15th place.
Will Sinaigo (88-88-176, Jacob Fuller (90-98-188), Tony Knittig (94-101-195) and Nathan Werner (97-114-211) also competed for the Wildcats.
