Cote earns third weekly honor

Culver-Stockton College libero Brittney Cote has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Libero of the Week for her performances in four matches during the week of Oct. 20-26.

Cote, a freshman from Orland Park, Ill. (Carl Sandburg HS), accumulated 69 digs in 14 games at the Clarke (Iowa) College Tournament last week, an average of 4.93 digs per game. She also garnered a service percentage of 93.9 (46-49) and was perfect on serve reception, handling all 70 attempts that came her way. It is the third time this season Cote has been awarded with this honor.

For the season, Cote has appeared in all 31 matches and performed in 119 of the 120 games played by the Wildcats this season. She is averaging team-best 5.69 digs per game, which is second in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. In addition,
Cote leads the team with 27 service aces and has a team-high 95 percent service reception percentage for players with at least 300 service receptions.

The Wildcats, who are currently 10-21 overall and 4-5 in the HAAC, will participate in the Washington (Mo.) University Tournament this weekend, Oct. 31-Nov. 1 in St. Louis, Mo.
