Culver-Stockton College men's soccer coach Michael Prunty has announced that Ben Lehmkuhl has signed a letter of intent to attend school and play for the Wildcats, beginning with the 2012-13 school year.
"Ben is a great addition to our program and will bring a lot to our team going forward," said Prunty. "Ben can really stretch the back line with speed and I can't wait to see him on the field this fall."
Lehmkuhl, a forward from Troy, Mo. (Troy Buchanan HS), netted 31 career goals for the Trojans, including 14 goals as a junior and 11 goals as a senior. He also added 22 career assists for a total of 84 career points.
Lehmkuhl, who plans on majoring in accounting, was named to the All-Gateway Conference South Division 2nd team as a senior after an honorable mention selection in 2010.
"When I visited Culver-Stockton for the first time I knew this is where I wanted to go," said Lehmkuhl. "I thought the soccer program, regardless of record, would be good for me. I am hoping to go further than college soccer when my four years are up."
Williams is the fourth recruit signed by the Wildcats for the 2012 season. He joins Gabe Sanford, a midfielder from Urbandale, Iowa (Urbandale HS), Jake Schierding, a defender from St. Charles, Mo. (St. Dominic HS), and Alex Williams, a forward from Troy, Mo. (Buchanan HS).
Culver-Stockton, located in Canton, Mo., is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and is a member of the 10-team Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) featuring colleges and universities in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska.
