Rob Carmichael joined Culver-Stockton in the fall of 1994. He started the ATEP curriculum in 2000 and gained accreditation in 2005. He is currently the associate athletic trainer for the Wildcat football team and serves as the ATEP program director. In addition, he teaches nine credit hours in the ATEP. Prior to C-SC, he served as an assistant athletic trainer at Missouri State University from 1992-1994 for the men’s basketball and soccer teams. He also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Nebraska at Omaha for football and wrestling. Rob has been BOC certified since 1991 and holds current Missouri licensure.

Dana Hoffman, BSS, ATC

Dana Hoffman came to C-SC in the fall of 2008. She serves as an associate athletic trainer at C-SC, overseeing the health care of the volleyball and softball teams. She also serves as an approved clinical instructor in the ATEP. Prior to C-SC, she served as assistant athletic trainer at Texas Wesleyan and Graceland Universities from 2003-2007. Dana has also held positions as the head softball coach of Lamoni High School in Lamoni, Iowa, and pitching coach for Graceland University. As a student, Dana was All-Conference and a National Scholar on the Cornell College Softball Team. Dana holds BOC certification since 2003 and current Missouri state licensure.

Jay Hoffman, DHSc, ATC

Dr. Hoffman came to CSC in the fall of 2008. He currently serves as the associate athletic trainer for men’s/women’s soccer and the baseball teams. In addition, Dr. Hoffman teaches 12 credit hours in the ATEP. Prior to CSC, he served as a clinical coordinator and assistant athletic trainer at Texas Wesleyan and Graceland Universities from 2002-2008 respectively. He also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Illinois State University with the football and baseball teams from 2000-2002. Prior to his graduate studies, he founded and served as director of athletic training operations for the Iowa Stars Semi-Pro Football Club. Dr. Hoffman has been BOC certified since 2000 and holds current Missouri licensure.

Christe Thomas

Christe Thomas came to CSC in the fall of 2002. She currently serves as the associate athletic trainer for men's and women's basketball and track & field. She teaches 9-10 credit hours, while performing duties as the ATEP clinical coordinator. Prior to CSC, she worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Florida, outreaching to Bradford High School from 2000-02. Christe has been BOC certified since November 2000 and holds a current Missouri license.

Tim VonFange, M.D.

Dr. Tim VonFange came to C-SC in the fall of 2008. He currently serves as the C-SC team physician and Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) medical director. He also serves at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as the associate director of sports medicine fellowship and assistant professor of family and community medicine. Dr VonFange is a practicing physician with Blessing Hospital and Body Motion Center. Previously, he was the team physician for North Carolina A&T State for the 2007-08 seasons. He is board certified in family practice and primary care sports medicine and has been licensed to practice in the states of Missouri and Illinois since 2008.
