Lady Wildcats hand out postseason awards

Culver-Stockton College held its annual soccer awards banquet on Sunday, Nov. 20, in Meaders Lounge in the Gladys Crown Center on the Culver-Stockton campus.
For the Lady Wildcats, junior midfielder Tara Stark (Quincy, Ill. / Notre Dame HS) was named the most valuable player. Stark total just one assist this season; however, was a controlling force in the midfield with her steady play.
Sophomore Andria Carroll (Quincy, Ill. / Notre Dame HS) was named the best offensive player after garnering a team-high six goals and two assists for 14 points. Melinda Schneider (Quincy, Ill. / Notre Dame HS) was named the Lady Wildcats’ best defensive player and also was the Lady Wildcats’ Champion of Character sportsmanship award winner.
Junior defender Dani Edstrohm (Florissant, Mo. / Forest Park CC) was named the most improved player, while freshman Kelsey Hoffa (Harrisonville, Mo. / Harrisonville HS) was named the newcomer of the year. Hoffa netted two goals this season.
The Lady Wildcats completed the 2007 season with a 3-15 overall record.
