The cheerleaders provide school spirit at sporting events through cheers, stunts and crowd participation. The cheerleaders participate in the HAAC cheerleading competition each year with eyes toward performing at a national competition. In the spring of 1999, the cheerleading squad received a bid to the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla., and finished 12th out of 25 in the all-girl squad. C-SC was the smallest group there,consisting of just nine squad members. The Wildcat cheerleaders advanced to nationals after participating in the Evangel cheerleading camp during the summer of 1998. AtEvangel, the cheerleaders won a trophy for best fight song routine and three other blue ribbons. Cheer Team to compete at NAIA Nationals

The Culver-Stockton College Cheer Teamwill participate in the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA)/NAIA Cheer Championship this week in Daytona, Fla.
The Wildcat cheerleaders qualified for the national event during the NAIA/HAAC Cheer and Dance Invitational held at MidAmerica Nazarene University on Feb. 18, in Olathe, Kan.
The Wildcats earned the a bronze bid, which made them eligible to participate in the national competition, April 11-14. The Wildcats are scheduled to perform at 1:52 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.
Members of the team are: Jasmine Brown; Courtney Driskell; Brandie Starks; Laken Workman; Emma Dolbeare; Charles McDavid; Mya Canty; and Lisa Dawson.
Also performing will be Heather Gibbs; Carmen Harris; Ciara Johnson; Marissa Anderson; Hannah Collier; Rae Froman; Paisley Goembe; Gretchen Goewey; Alysia Schubert; and Dakota Kingery.
