Less than 15 years old, the women's golf program is progressing nicely in its attempt to make a name for itself on the conference and regional landscape. With a strong recruiting push the last several years, the Lady Wildcat golf linksters should find success as they try to lay a solid foundation forthe future of the program. Lady Linksters place third at William Penn

The Culver-Stockton College women's golf team used a strong second round to surpass Clarke University (Iowa) and finish in third place in the Lady Statesman Fall Classic at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa, on Sunday.
The Lady Wildcats, who started the day six strokes behind the Crusaders, carded a second round 362 to finish with a team score of 743 overall. Clarke shot a 759 overall after shooting a 384 in the second round. William Penn won the event with a 682, while American Institute of Business placed second with a 704.
Individually, freshman Megan Miehe placed fourth overall with a two-day total of 171 (87-84), finishing seven strokes behind medalist Dena Stevens (76-88-164) of William Penn.
Samantha Heinrich placed 10th overall with a 180 (89-90) while Maddie Person and Emma VanArsdale finished 15th and 16th, respectively. Person carded a two-day score of 195 (103-92) while VanArsdale recorded a 197 (102-95).
