Culver-Stockton College women's soccer coach Tyler Tomlinson has announced that Skyler Barger has signed a letter of intent to attend school and play for the Lady Wildcats, beginning with the 2012-13 school year.
"We are pleased to add Skyler to our roster," said Tomlinson "She has shown an ability to score during high school days and we are looking forward to her continuing that trend in college."
Barger, a forward from Buhl, Idaho (Buhl HS), helped lead the Indians to a High Desert Soccer Conference championship in 2011 after netting 18 goals and seven assists.
Barger is the fifth recruit to sign with the Lady Wildcats for the 2012-13 season, joining defender Jill Griebel of St. Louis, Mo. (Rosati-Kain HS); midfielder Kelsie Schlager of O'Fallon, Mo (Fort Zumwalt North HS); midfielder Alyx Seats of Wentzvile, Mo. (Timberland HS) and Hannah LeBlanc of Mount Pleasant, Iowa (Mount Pleasant HS).
Culver-Stockton, located in Canton, Mo., is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and is a member of the 10-team Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) featuring colleges and universities in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska. The Wildcats completed the 2011 season with a 6-11-1 overall record.
