*3-5 references are recommended for your credential file and should be a combination reflecting your academic ability and personal character. On your reference forms, be sure to complete the top portion of the form and indicate confidential or non-confidential before delivering the sheet to each one of your references.

Improve the quality of your references by:
1) Providing your references with ample time to complete your reference form.
2) Attaching a current resume and list of accomplishments to the reference form.
3) Identifying the types of positions/graduate schools you will be seeking
4) Setting a date for your reference to have the form completed and following up a week before the deadline.
