Greek Membership

Membership in social fraternities and sororities is by invitation of the organization. To be initiated, the college requires that a student must be enrolled for at least 12 hours of academic work at Culver-Stockton College, have passed 12 hours the semester preceding initiation, have a grade point average of 2.0 and have a transcript on file with the registrar. Greek chapters may impose higher grade point average standards, but no lower than the college.

Eligibility for initiation must be certified by the fraternity or sorority advisor and the registrar at least 48 hours preceding initiation.

Joining a fraternity:

For fraternities, recruitment and pledging are restricted to male full-time students who were admitted in good standing and/ or maintain a 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Joining a sorority:

Sororities are for female full-time students who were admitted in good standing and/ or maintain a 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Each sorority has different entry standards. Women will be notified if they are ineligible for Recruitment according to the rules of each NPC sorority.
