Intramurals

Mission
The Culver-Stockton College Intramural program is designed to give students the opportunity to participate in athletic events in order to develop leadership skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Other benefits of participation in intramural events include enhancement of socialization, friendly competition, stress relief through vigorous activity, and maintenance of health and physical fitness.

Publicity
Information regarding intramural events may be obtained from the intramural office or webpage. Also, e-mails are sent regularly regarding schedule changes, game results, etc.

Sportsmanship
Proper sportsmanship must be displayed at all times by participants and spectators alike. Verbal abuse of officials or supervisors, unsportsmanlike conduct, or other inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. (See rules of conduct)

Officials
Officials will be provided for all events by the intramural office. Officiating is done by C-SC students. Participants will refrain from making derogatory comments to the officials. Judgment calls by an official may not be protested. Disagreements in matters of rule interpretations and eligibility may be brought to the supervisor on duty by the team captain ONLY. If the team making the protest believes the supervisor is incorrect an appeal form may be filled out and presented to the intramural director.

Equipment
The intramural office will provide most equipment for intramural events. The participant must provide however, softball/baseball gloves and cleats. (Only rubber cleats are allowed) Proper attire is required for intramural events: shirt, shoes etc.
