Service Learning

Culver-Stockton College stresses to students the value service activities have on one's community, church, and humanity. Not only do people in need benefit, but people who perform service to others benefit by learning more about their personal strengths and weaknesses and knowing that they reached out to others.

Plenty of service activities for students!
How will you make your mark on the world? What will you do to bring joy to someone else's life? How will you connect with others outside of your "comfort zone"? By serving others! There are service opportunities needing volunteers in the local community, throughout the state and country, and even overseas.

Previous Service-Learning Trips
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow mindedness. . .broad, wholesome, charitable views. . .cannot be acquired by vegetation on one's little corner of Earth."
--Mark Twain

Culver-Stockton Service-Learning Trips take students to communities and surroundings they are unaccustomed to. They help those in need and meet many interesting people. Previous service learning trips have included locations such as:

  • Washington D.C.
  • Birmingham, Alabama
  • Matamoros, Mexico
  • Jamaica
  • Sites of the Holocaust in Poland
