After I graduate from C-SC, I want to go straight into teaching high school mathematics. And as a future educator, I know how important it is to study. That’s why I really enjoyed my First Year Experience (FYE) class.
FYE classes teach study skills and help introduce first-year students to college-life. My class was great! The topic of our course was “Body Learning.” We developed ways to learn and study through physical activity. Our professor would take us out of the classroom and show us ways that the material we learned in class tied into physical health. We also learned about time management,
balancing activities, and physical well being.
I’m done with my FYE course, now; but, I still use the skills I learned to make it through this crazy thing called college. And, who knows, maybe I’ll use those same skills to help others learn – when I’m the teacher!
