Academic

Accounting:  Full-time tenure-track position
Beginning in August 2008.  Responsibilities will include teaching courses in accounting, assisting with the Institute of Management Accountants student group, academic advising, and committee assignments.  Masters degree in accounting, taxation, or business and CPA or CMA certification required.  PHD or ABD preferred. The successful candidate must have evidence of an ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education.

Mathematics: Full-time position, possible tenure-track appointment
Responsibilities will include teaching a wide range of undergraduate mathematics courses for general education and math majors. A Masters in mathematics is required; a PhD or ABD preferred. PhD required for tenure track appointment. Teaching experience, particularly in developmental math, and familiarity with educational technology including course management software, is preferred. The successful candidate must have evidence of an ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education.

Management Information Systems (MIS)
Full or part-time teaching position in a dynamic business department. The business program is one of the signature areas of the college with 9 full-time faculty and over 150 student majors. This position entails teaching undergraduate courses in introductory programming, Web programming and design, spreadsheet modeling, advanced spreadsheets and databases in Microsoft Office 2007, and possibly graphic design.  Duties may include, but not be limited to: teaching, advising a campus organization, participating in recruiting activities, and other responsibilities as assigned by the Division Chair. Masters or doctoral degree required. Successful teaching experience in the classroom and online preferred. Admissions Officer/International Student Recruiter
The Culver-Stockton College Stockton Admissions Office seeks a dynamic individual to join our professional team. The full-time, 12-month position of International student recruiter involves being the campus point person for all aspects of international student recruitment. This position will be responsible for all communications with prospective international students, as well as assigned travel, both domestic and abroad. The position also will coordinate the e-communications flow (both incoming and outgoing) with prospective students. A Bachelor's degree and a current driver's license, as well as strong communications and organizations skills, are required. Previous experience in a private, liberal arts college setting is desirable. Willingness to work evenings and some weekends is required. Position open until filled; start date negotiable. Director of Student Success and First Year Programs
C-SC is seeking a full-time, professional staff member to actively collaborate in the design, development, marketing and implementation of programs and services to enhance student success. Direct responsibilities will include: overseeing our new FYE course, facilitating New Student Registration and Orientation programs, chairing the SOS early alert committee, personally intervening with at-risk students, and participating as a colleague with Student Life and Academic Affairs staff. The successful candidate will serve as liaison to enrollment management, academic affairs, student life, academic divisions, and support staff, and provide vision and leadership for a comprehensive approach to new student retention programs. This position does require diligent management of budgets, supervision experience, and some weekend/evening work. Master’s degree required. Vice President for Advancement
Culver-Stockton College invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Advancement. Founded in 1853 by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Culver-Stockton is the first co-educational college west of the Mississippi River, which it overlooks from a beautiful 145-acre campus set on "The Hill". The college serves 850 students and has over 10,000 living alumni/ae. As a residential, liberal arts college, Culver-Stockton's mission is to provide students of promise a superb education. As a result of this commitment, the college is now involved in a comprehensive master plan, which will ultimately become the basis of a case statement for a major initiative.

The Vice President for Advancement reports directly to the President, is a member of the Cabinet, and is the principal liaison to the Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees. The Vice President for Advancement will oversee all fund-raising activities, manage alumni/ae relations, and lead a team of professionals focused on the Education Fund for Culver-Stockton, planned giving, and major gifts. The Vice President will provide vision, leadership, and energy to a successful annual giving program, but will also provide and implement strategies for a major initiative. Prior campaign experience is needed.

Qualifications of the successful candidate include a significant history of leadership responsibilities in higher education fundraising or its equivalent. The Vice President should have a record of involvement and leadership in a comprehensive campaign, planned giving, major gifts, foundation and corporate relations, alumni/ae relations, and annual fund programs. The ability to think sensibly about donor communities and demonstrate team-building skills with professionals and volunteers will be essential. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, management, and initiating successful programs is helpful. Candidates need a bachelor's degree and preferably a master's degree (or a professional credential, such as the CFRE). The expectation is that the Vice President will have excellent communications skills, personal integrity, self-confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm for the mission of a residential liberal arts college in a historic river town with good access to St. Louis, Kansas City, and Chicago.

Support Staff

Campus Safety Officer
Full-time, possible 8-, 10-, or 12-hour days/nights to provide 24/7 coverage. 

Requirements: at least 24 years of age, safety/security background a plus, current valid driver's license, experience working with a computer, no criminal convictions, will be certified in Adult CPR/AED within 60 days of hire, willing to work weekends and nights, able to stand long periods of time and work outside in all weather conditions.

Clerical Assistant: Office of the Registrar
