Art & Design

This degree program is recommended for students seeking a career in teaching the visual arts. Art can be one of the most exciting aspects of a school's curriculum as it allows students to learn aboutthemselves and the world around them. Teaching art can change the lives of young students by allowing them a safe place to dream, test ideas, fail without harm, and perform without competition.
Students must complete a minimum of 36 hours of art coursework, including six hours of upper division classes in one art discipline. Students also must satisfy all professional education and certification requirements.
For complete degree requirements and a course listing, see the current C-SC Academic Catalog.
