About the Program
The Biological Chemistry major at Culver-Stockton College is a solid first step for students who plan to go to graduate school, especially to study biochemistry, molecular biology and other biological chemistry related fields. It is one of the most popular science majors at Culver-Stockton College. This major is also a perfect fit for students interested in a pre-health major and are looking toward careers in medicine, pharmacy, veterinary, dentistry and other health-related fields. Through the curriculum, students will gain hands-on experience in both biology and chemistry. We are proud that several biological chemistry graduates went to medical, pharmacy and veterinary schools.
What Makes the Program Distinctive?
Biological Chemistry majors take biology, chemistry, physics and math courses. Students complete internships in related fields and do research. Our students have been accepted to do internships at competitive programs, some study abroad and some travel locally with their courses. They learn the use and applications of numerous instruments from classes we cover and from touring companies around us.
