History - Major
Those seeking to recieve a major in history, a total of thirty-six credit hours, including twenty-one elective hours in history including three elective hours in American history, three elective hours in diverse populations (non-European/US) and three elective hours in European history plus required classes in U.S. history, historical themes, the historian's craft and senior seminar.
History majors who wish to be certified in Missouri for secondary teaching in social studies must also take an additional three hours of American history electives; eight hours of world history and other economics, sociology, government and human geography.
