Welcome. Whatever your native language, Culver-Stockton College invites you to join us on our beautiful hilltop campus alongside the Mississippi River in the Heartland of the United States. Our small, private college in Northeast Missouri has a growing number of international students every year; and 10 percent of our faculty have lived, worked or earned their degrees in other countries.
Our academic curriculum, called EXP@CSC, is one of the most unique in the nation. We have taken the best liberal arts traditions and combined them with opportunities for real-world hands-on experiences for every student. As a result we have excited faculty members, eager to teach, and more satisfied students.
Our faculty will work closely with you throughout your college career to help prepare you for your next step, whether that's returning home or continuing your education in a U.S. graduate school. Nearly 75 percent of our faculty members have earned the highest degree possible in their field; and all of them teach in our classrooms – many with first-year students.
Dick Tabb, our international admissions counselor, will work with you every step of the admissions process. Contact him at dtabb@culver.edu, request more information, or apply today.

Dr. Mohamed A. El-Bermawy
Associate Professor of Chemistry/Biology
From Egypt
I am originally from Egypt. I came to the U.S.A. in 1983. I received my masters and doctorate from the school of pharmacy, University of Connecticut. I joined Culver-Stockton in 1999. I have enjoyed teaching at Culver-Stockton and have enjoyed living in Canton. It is a great community. My family and I feel welcome and safe in this community.
I gave many presentations about Egypt and the Egyptian culture. Students, as well as faculty members, are always eager and excited to learn about different countries and the differences between American culture and other cultures. Teaching students about other cultures broadens their horizons and prepares them better to face the world. It also teaches them tolerance toward other cultures that they are not familiar with. Being received warmly and kindly and having the support of the Culver-Stockton College community is a great asset. |
