How do I apply to Culver-Stockton College?

Is there a special application for international students?
No. You just need to apply with using either the Freshman student application or Transfer student application.

Is there an application fee?
Yes. The Application Fee is $25 USD.

What are the deadlines for applying to Culver-Stockton College?
It is recommended that international students apply prior to April 1 to begin in the Fall (August) term. For students interested in beginning in the Spring (January) term, it is recommended that students apply prior to November 1.

Is the TOEFL required?
If English is not considered your first language, a minimum TOEFL score is required. Minimum TOEFL scores required for admission must be higher than 500(paper-based), 173(computer-based), or 61(internet-based). The TOEFL will be waived if you meet the following requirements:

  • Currently reside in the United States for at least one semester
  • Submit an ACT or SAT score
  • Have received a diploma from an American high school
  • English is considered your first language

What items are needed for international students application for admission?
Prospective students from outside of the United States who wish to enroll at Culver-Stockton College need to submit the following items to begin the application process:

  1. Completed an Application for Admission
  2. Official Transcripts
    • First year students- must submit transcripts from your high school, secondary school or equivalent
    • Transfer students- if you would like your credits to transfer, you must submit official transcripts to be translated and evaluated for U.S. equivalency to either:

    * WES does charge a fee for transcript evaluation. (You can forgo this evaluation, but you will have to start as a first year student if you are accepted.)

  3. English Language Proficiency including one of the following:
    1. English as your 1st language
    2. * A minimum TOEFL score
    3. Current residency in the United States for at least 1 semester
    4. Submission of an ACT or SAT score
    5. A diploma from an American high school
    6. ** A minimum Society for Testing English Proficiency (STEP) Eiken score

      * Minimum TOEFL scores required for admission must be higher than 500 (paper-based), 173 (computer-based), or 61 (internet-based).

    ** Minimum STEP Eiken requirement for admission must be higher than Grade 2A. Additional information regarding the STEP Eiken, including how to register for the test, is available online.

  1. Financial Documentation
    The Confidential Statement of Finance must be downloaded, completed and returned with all required financial documents. Financial documents are usually certified statements from a bank or other financial institution that prove you or your sponsor(s) can cover all educational expenses for the first year of enrollment. Notarized letters of support from financial sponsor(s) are required if your sponsor is not one of your parents.

  2. $25 application fee (in US funds)

  3. Additional items that may enhance your application include:
    • ACT or SAT score
    • Letters of recommendation from a teacher (or school administrator)
    • Personal essay or writing sample
    • Work experience
