Graduate Admission Requirements

Master of Education

The Culver-Stockton M.Ed. has the following expectations of graduate applicants, which includes the following:

  • Earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Hold, or be qualified to hold, a current teaching certification in the state of Missouri
  • Provide a copy of MoCA, or equivalent, teaching certification exam scores
  • Provide official transcripts from all colleges/universities, including the transcript with conferral of a bachelor degree.
  • Provide contact information for three professional or educational references
  • Provide a written Philosophy of Education

Master of Business Administration (all tracks)

The Culver-Stockton MBA has the following expectations of graduate applicants, which includes advanced learning experiences, professional development, and strategic case analysis. Apply for the MBA program.

Prerequisites: Principles of Accounting I, Principles of Accounting II, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Finance, Statistics, and Quantitative Analysis, or the equivalency of Business Calculus. Deficiencies may be completed through Culver-Stockton College’s Undergraduate Online Campus Program.

References: Provide two professional or educational references.

Requirements: Submit an official GMAT score, with a minimum combination of 200 X GPA plus a GMAT score greater than or equal to 1025. For information on the GMAT, visit www.mba.com.

Transcripts: Provide official transcripts from all colleges/universities, including the transcript with conferral of a bachelor’s degree.

Tuition: Each credit hour is $500.

General Admission Information

English Proficiency:International students, whether first-year, transfer, online, or graduate, have the same admission requirements as domestic students, but are required to be proficient in English.

The TOEFL or IELTS can be waived if applicants:

  • Prior to review for admission, came from English-speaking countries and were required to take the ACT or SAT test.
  • Have received a US high school diploma or graduated from an international high school in their home country (with all English instruction)
  • Enrolled for at least one semester at college or university in the United States
  • Completed an English as a Second Language program (ESL or ELL)
  • Further requirements are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and could include an interview and writing sample

International applicants for admission will be considered if they meet the following requirements through a three-tiered system of admission:

Full International Admission
Eligible students with:
Minimum 79 TOEFL or IELTS of 6.5

Regular International Admission
Eligible students with:
TOEFL score 61-79 or IELTS of 6.0

The third tier is needed for students who do not meet the above criteria. This group would be reviewed for approval/denial of admission by the Enrollment Management and have its own set of conditions:

Committee Admission
Eligible students with:
TOEFL of 60 and below
IELTS of 5.5 and below
Based on interview, writing sample/personal statement, recommendation letter from educator

Payment Policy: Culver-Stockton College accepts all major credit cards, cash, money orders or personal checks. Tuition in full is due at the time of registration, prior to the beginning of class. If an employer or third party is reimbursing the student for the course upon completion, the student may submit proof of reimbursement from the employer along, with a $100 deposit.
