Beck Named to Who’s Who Among Executives and Professionals

Al Beck, professor of art emeritus and visiting professor at Culver-Stockton College, has been named to the 2004-2005 Honors Edition of Manchester Who’s Who Among Executives and Professionals.
Beck was appointed as a biographical candidate to represent Canton, Mo. Candidates are chosen based on their current position and individual achievement. Beck will be listed among thousands of accomplished individuals in the Manchester Who’s Who Registry.
Beck is a teacher, artist and writer. He taught art courses at Culver-Stockton College from 1968 until retirement in 2001, and has recently joined the C-SC faculty as a visiting professor. Beck has exhibited his artwork both internationally and regionally. He works with diverse media, including clay, papercasting, glass fusion, photography, printmaking, painting and assemblage. Beck has published ten books of poetry, drawings and essays, published by Lorien House. These include: Conversations With Lizard’s Bones and Wizard’s Stones (2003), Rapping Paper, Mythic Thundermugs (2002) and Warm Verse, Cold Turkey (2002). His tenth book, LIFEPSYCHLES, will be released in September.
