Canton, MO- Culver-Stockton College will compete with Quincy University in a blood drive, vying for a community service trophy. The traveling trophy is from the American Red Cross and is topped with a large red cross. This will be the second year for the competition. Culver-Stockton will hold its blood drive on Friday, Sept. 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Gladys Crown Student Center. Quincy University is also holding a blood drive on Friday, Sept. 14 from 2-8 p.m. in the Student Center.
Every two seconds someone in America needs blood. Those of us blessed with good health can share it through donating blood -- to enable a premature baby to live, a burn victim to recover, a cancer patient to be treated, an accident victim to survive, or a transplant candidate to have a life-giving surgery. “Come out to the blood drive and ‘Give Life,’” said Mike Jones, professor of biology and chairperson of the Arts and Sciences Division.
Please support and participate in this drive, co-sponsored by NAMS Division and the American Red Cross. To schedule an appointment, please contact Jones at 573-288-6429 or mjones@culver.edu.
