Sigma Kappa Sorority brings home GPA trophy
Friday, September 28, 2007
The Sigma Kappa Sorority (Beta Mu) of Culver-Stockton College was recognized recently in front of all their sisters for having the highest grade point average out of 107 Sigma Kappa Chapters nationwide. The sorority received a trophy and had a photo featured in Sigma Kappa Triangle, the official magazine of the Sorority, for receiving the top Scholastic Award.
Beta Mu attended Collegiate Officers Training School (COTS) in Indianapolis, Ind., from June 28-July 1. While at the training school, the women attended workshops and luncheons.
From the Culver-Stockton Chapter, Gina Baker, president; Sara Naslund, vice president; Ramona Meahan, recording secretary; and Amber Conrad, assistant to membership attended the training session.
“COTS was a unique opportunity to learn about Sigma Kappa, gain leadership strategies, and meet Sigma Kappa collegians and alumnae from all over the United States,” said Baker.
