Hercules to Present Senior Recital
Tuesday, October 16, 2007

Timothy Hercules, a Culver-Stockton College senior music education major from Shelbina, Mo., will present his senior recital on Sunday, October 21, at 3 p.m. in Merillat Recital Hall located in Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center in Canton, Mo.

Hercules will present several musical selections to showcase his talents vocally and on the clarinet. Vocal selections include are Messiah: Comfort Ye & Ev’ry Valley Shall be Exalted, by Handel; Adelaide, by Beethoven; L’Heure Exquise, by Reynaldo Hahn, Si Mes Vers Avaient Des Ailes, by Reynaldo Hahn; Lonely House, Kurt Weill, and I Hear an Army, by Samuel Barber. Clarinet selections are Sonata in E-flat: Allegro Appassionate, by Johnannes Brahms, Concerto for Clarinet: Adagio, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and other selections by Paul Harvey.

A reception will follow the performance. The recital is presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements to receive a bachelor of music education degree from Culver-Stockton College. For more information, contact the Fine Arts Office at 573-288-6346 or e-mail fineart@culver.edu.
