Ransdell to present senior recital

CANTON, Mo. -- Jennifer Ransdell, a Culver-Stockton College senior, music education major from Poway, Calif., will present her senior recital at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 18 in Merillat Recital Hall, located in the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center, on campus.

Ransdell, a soprano, will perform "When I am Laid in Earth," by Henry Purcell; "Der Musensohn," "Wanderer’s Nachtlied," and "Gretchen am Spinnrade" by Franz Schubert; "In quelle trine morbide," from Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut;” "Le son du Cor s’afflige," "Les Cloches," and "Mandoline," by Claude Debussy; and "Heaven-Haven" and "The Taxi," by Celius Dougherty.

A reception will follow the performance in the atrium of the Performing Arts Center. The recital is presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a bachelor’s of music education degree from Culver-Stockton.
