Kellie Capps becomes Director of Alumni Programs

CANTON, MO – Kellie Capps, a 1986 graduate of Culver-Stockton College, is returning to campus as director of alumni programs, effective December 1.
Although Capps will be based in Chicago, she will work on campus at least one week a month. Her responsibilities include working collaboratively with the advancement activity in the region as well as managing the college’s overall alumni program. She will also manage alumni affinity programs and help build strong relationships with alumni as well as some donors.
“We are delighted to have Kellie accept this position,” said Culver-Stockton president William L. Fox. “As an alumna, Kellie shares a love for and commitment to the college that gives her a common bond with our graduates, our donor base, and our friends. I know she will be a strong asset to the campus.”
Capps, who earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology at C-SC, also earned a master’s degree in education at Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Ill., with an emphasis in college student personnel. Her first job in higher education was as a Culver-Stockton admissions counselor. Most recently, she served as director of alumni clubs for the Purdue Alumni Association and assistant dean of students for Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind. Previously, she was residence hall coordinator at Illinois State University, Normal, Ill., and associate residence hall director at Eastern Illinois University.
“I am thrilled to be part of the Culver-Stockton family once again,” Capps said. “Culver-Stockton gave me my educational foundation and my first job, and C-SC has always been my first love among colleges. I hope to develop relationships and programs that mirror the loyalty and excellence of C-SC. Our alumni are really special, and I look forward to meeting and reconnecting all the generations back to the Hill.”
A native of Pittsfield, Ill., Capps currently resides in Saint Charles, Ill.
