Hilary Scott to perform at Culver-Stockton
Monday, January 14, 2008

Hilary Scott and her band will perform in concert on the Culver-Stockton campus at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 7, in the Merillat Recital Hall in the Performing Arts Center. The performance is free and open to the public.

Scott has been a musician since age three and has written music since age five. Her performances fuse various styles to create something unique. Listeners can enjoy blues, folk, rock, pop, and classical influences in her music. The band tours in the Midwest, and has opened for such acts as Little Feat, Tanya Tucker, Jonatha Brook, and Beth Orton. The band’s most recent release is called Road To Hope.

The performance is offered as part of the college’s Academic and Cultural Events (ACE) program. Funding assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
