All That Jazz…

CANTON, Mo. -- Culver-Stockton College is holding its 11th annual JazzFest on Tuesday, April 8, which will feature guest artists, clinics, concerts, and adjudicated performances by local high school and junior high school jazz ensembles. The event begins at 8 a.m. in the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center.

During the day, there will be performances by junior high and high school jazz ensembles from throughout the tri-state area. From 3-4 p.m., pianist Reggie Thomas, and trumpeter, Jim Manley, will hold a clinic for students. Festival performances will continue until 6 p.m. JazzFest performances throughout the day are free and open to the public.

The JazzFest finale is a performance by the, Culver-Stockton Jazz Ensemble, featuring both guest artists, Reggie Thomas and Jim Manley. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. under the director of Dr. Thomas Polett, C-SC associate professor or music and chair of the Fine Arts Division. The evening C-SC Jazz concert costs $7.50.
