Honors Art Show showcases students

CANTON, Mo. -- The artistic talents of Culver-Stockton College students will be showcased during the annual Student Honors Art Show on Thursday, April 17. The exhibit will begin with an opening reception at 7 p.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m. The gallery show is free and open to the public. The exhibit will run through Thursday, May 1.

The annual art show exhibits the best work from the C-SC’s art and graphic arts studios during the 2007-08 academic year. This show provides C-SC students the opportunity to display their artistic abilities through a variety of media and approaches. Various media on display include drawing, painting, printmaking, digital photography, clay, fibers, sculpture, and graphic design including print media, web design, and web animation.

Mabee Gallery is located in Culver-Stockton’s Herrick Foundation Center and is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. For more information, contact Joe Jorgensen, gallery director, at 573-288-6368 or jjorgensen@culver.edu.
