C-SC students awarded IMA scholarships

CANTON, Mo. – Three Culver-Stockton College students have been awarded national scholarships by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). IMA is a leading organization for management accounting and finance professionals.

“We are so proud of our students who have received IMA awards this year. IMA awarded $36,000 to 16 scholarship recipients, and three Culver-Stockton students are among those elite 16,” said Dell Ann Janney, C-SC professor of accounting and chair of C-SC Business Division. “During the past 10 years, Culver-Stockton students have received more than $60,000 in IMA national scholarships,”

Students awarded scholarships this year are: Leah Hall, junior, accounting and finance major, New Canton, Ill., Ryan Thoroman, freshman, accounting and finance major, Beardstown, Ill., and Kayla Duncan, sophomore, accounting and finance major from Strasburg, Ill. Hall and Thoroman each received $2,500; Duncan received $1,000.

All three students will be recognized at the national IMA conference in Tampa, Fla., in June 2008.
