Hall began an insurance brokerage career in 1973 with the firm, Case, Thomas, and Marsh, a St. Louis firm founded prior to the Civil War. He later joined the Canadian firm Reed, Shaw, Stenhouse and in 1978, then joined Rollins, Burdick, Hunter. Hall is currently a managing director of Anderson, Hall, and Marsh and is responsible for strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, new business, and mentoring new sales associates. Anderson, Hall, and Marsh represents about 30 insurance companies on a contract basis. The firm’s services include risk management, loss control, loss analysis, and human resources. Hall is also an owner of Owners & Members National Insurance Services, LLC, a specialty insurance brokerage firm that provides initiation fee refund insurance and related insurance products to the private club industry. In addition, Hall is a partner with AHG Enterprises, a firm that owns real estate in the St. Louis area. Hall and his wife, Susan, have three sons, all of whom are married, and eight grandchildren. Hall enjoys golfing, reading, traveling. He is also an amateur Civil War and World War II historian. He is a member of the board of directors of the St. Louis Abbey and School, a private Catholic high school; on the board of directors of Loyola Academy of St. Louis, a school for inner-city boys; and an active emeritus board member of Edgewood Children’s Center, an agency serving children with severe emotional problems due primarily to abuse and neglect.
