“We are proud of the IMA student members and the chapter’s accomplishments,” said Dr. Dell Ann Janney, Chair of the C-SC Business Division and faculty IMA advisor. “Culver-Stockton College is widely known for excellence at the National IMA Conference.” Four members of the C-SC IMA Student Chapter gave a presentation in the national case competition. Team members included: Amanda Bienhoff, senior accounting major from Golden, Ill.; Dalton Bohan, senior accounting and finance major from Mendon, Ill.; Kayla Duncan, senior accounting and finance major from Strasburg, Ill.; and Jake Newton, senior accounting and finance major from Burnside, Ill. Leanne Cary, junior accounting major from Canton, Mo., assisted the team in technical support. Over 20 teams competed in the preliminary rounds, with the top four teams competing at the national conference. In addition to winning the Outstanding Student Chapter Award, Danielle Harper, junior accounting major from Eldon, Mo.; and Kelsey Camp received National IMA Scholarships. Student Chapter faculty advisors who attended the conference include Dr. Janney, Dr. Kim Gaither, assistant professor of finance, and Julie Straus, instructor of accounting. Dr. Janney also presented a round-table discussion on “Improving Student Success and Retention” at the IMA Conference luncheon.
