“Jeff is a proven leader and has been extremely involved in the life and well-being of Culver-Stockton,” said Richard Valentine, president of the college. “He brings the ability to build relationships and to further develop an engaging alumni program and a strong volunteer network to include alumni, friends and members of the community,” said Valentine. As director of alumni programs, McReynolds will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of alumni events and programming, both on and off campus. He will also be instrumental in furthering the social media connections and outreach with alumni and helping with campaign initiatives that promote the greater good of Culver-Stockton and further encourage alumni involvement at the school. “One of the fun parts of this job will be finding new ways to engage Culver-Stockton alumni,” said McReynolds. “I want to help develop new programs and events that will keep alumni across the country active in the C-SC community, whether it’s through donations, volunteer work, sponsoring college events, providing a student internship, or referring a new student. Keeping our graduates involved in the college is critical to the future of the school, and that will be one of my goals,” said McReynolds. Most recently, McReynolds worked for Banner Fire Equipment where he was responsible for the sale and marketing of equipment to fire departments throughout the region. He also currently serves, on a volunteer basis, as chief of the Canton Fire Department and is the city’s emergency management director. McReynolds was also heavily involved in numerous projects that directly benefited Canton and the surrounding region. His work with a local student group (SMART) helped lead to the completion of four lane traffic on U.S. Highway 61. He was also instrumental in securing natural disaster recovery reimbursements after the flood of 2008. McReynolds also served on the 2008-2009 C-SC Presidential Search Committee. Four generations of the McReynolds family are affiliated with Culver-Stockton College. His grandfather was the farm manager for C-SC in the late 1930’s, when the school still relied on farms to provide food for students. His mother is a C-SC graduate and a well-known former professor of business. McReynonds’ wife Karla is also a C-SC graduate and currently works as assistant registrar for the college. Their daughter Jennifer graduated from C-SC in 2006, and their son Jonathan received his degree from C-SC in 2010. Their youngest son David is a sophomore at Canton High School. Jeff and Karla also have a 3-year-old daughter, MaryKate. McReynolds earned a bachelor of science in business administration and economics from Culver-Stockton College and an associate degree in construction management from Texas State Technical Institute, Waco, TX.
