Fine Arts visit day scheduled at Culver-Stockton College
Wednesday, November 17, 2010

CANTON, Mo. – Culver-Stockton College will host a visit day for high school students and those interested in transferring to C-SC on Friday, Dec. 4 beginning at 8 a.m. in the Robert W. Brown Performing Art Center.

"Learn more about Fine Arts at Culver-Stockton College," says Dr. Carol Mathieson, professor of music. "You'll join enthusiastic music, theatre and visual art students and faculty as we explore the whole range of artistic expression that can expand beyond classroom to Southwestern Native American performances or Netherlands museum fieldwork or cultural study in Hawaii or Russia. Our unique individualized major allows you to devise your own blend of arts and other disciplines in whatever direction your own curiosity leads you, too. Culver-Stockton arts graduates are successful teachers, performers and practitioners; but, many take paths to the arts business and organization world through our arts management degree program. Come and explore at Fine Arts Day on Dec. 4. I'm sure you'll find a path you'll love."

The day will include a meeting with admission counselors, a financial aid session, campus tour, student and faculty panel and lunch. Prospective fine arts students will observe a vocal music presentation, a theatre production, art work display and director’s presentation. Individual auditions will also take place throughout the day.

For more information, call (800) 537-1883 or e-mail admission@culver.edu. A registration form is available online at www.culver.edu
