Services scheduled for C-SC student Max Zumwalt

CANTON, Mo. – Memorial services have been set for Tyler “Max” Zumwalt, 20 of Pittsfield, Ill. Zumwalt died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011 as a result of a single vehicle accident near LaGrange, Mo.
Zumwalt was a sophomore sport management major at Culver-Stockton College and a member of the Wildcat football team. He is survived by his parents, Parker and Beth Zumwalt; brother, Trevor Zumwalt; and sisters, Tammy Zumwalt Green and Toyia Zumwalt; and his niece, Katie Zumwalt.
The visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, Ill. Funeral services are planned for Thursday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Pittsfield, Ill., with Pastor Michael TenEyck and Pastor Don Hannell officiating. Interment will be in the West Cemetery in Pittsfield.
Members of the Wildcat football team will travel to the funeral service by bus. Culver-Stockton College will provide transportation for other students who wish to attend Thursday’s funeral. Those interested are asked to sign-up in the Student Life Office by 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26. Vans will depart for the funeral at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27.
