Monday, July 25, 2011
CANTON, Mo. – Culver-Stockton College is one of nine colleges and universities included in the 2011 Illinois Association of College Admission Counselors summer bus tour, in conjunction with the IACAC Summer Institute. Nearly 40 high school guidance counselors from throughout Illinois are taking part in the week-long tour, which travels from the Kansas City area to Iowa and northeast Missouri.
The bus tour offers high school guidance counselors the opportunity to visit campuses and learn more about each school. The goal is to give counselors more insight into the strengths of each school, which will help them to better assist students with the college selection process. While at Culver-Stockton counselors will tour the campus, including the Herrick Center, which houses the Business Division; the Science Center; and Johann Hall, which features the Mock Trial Courtroom and the Natural and Mathematical Sciences Division. Counselors will also learn more about Culver-Stockton’s unique 12/3 academic calendar and hands-on curriculum. The IACAC tour of Culver-Stockton College is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 29 and conclude at 1 p.m.
