Chamber concert showcases talents of C-SC faculty and students

CANTON, Mo. -- The musical talents of C-SC faculty members and students will be showcased during the Faculty and Student Chamber Recital to be held Friday, Sept. 16 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Merillat Recital Hall inside the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center on the C-SC campus.

The concert will include Chloee Dunham, junior music major from Dawson, Ill., accompanied by Anda Zirnitis, C-SC professor of music, performing works by Mozart; Josh Kollitz, sophomore music major from Grant City, Mo., accompanied by Abbie Brewer, C-SC adjunct instructor of music, performing works by Franz Schubert; Ben Belanger, senior music education major from DeSoto, Mo., performing compositions by George Hamilton Green; and Aden Eilts, junior music major from Prairie Village, Kans., accompanied by Professor Zirnitis, performing works by Domenico Dragonetti.

In addition to student soloists, the instrumental talents of several C-SC Fine Arts faculty members will be showcased, including: Trent Hollinger, assistant professor of music, and Elliot Jones, visiting assistant professor of music and director of choral activity, performing works by Astor Piazzolla; Carol Mathieson, professor of music, Megan Hofeldt, adjunct instructor of music, and Assistant Professor Jones performing compositions by Georg Friedrich Händel; Jane Polett, adjunct instructor of music, and Thomas Polett, professor of music, performing works by Peter Schickele.

The Culver-Stockton College Faculty and Student Chamber Recital corresponds with the annual C-SC Family Weekend and is one of a number of exciting events planned on campus.
