Students inducted to C-SC history honor society

CANTON, Mo. -- Culver-Stockton College is proud to announce the induction of students into the Alpha Eta Lambda chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society. The ceremony, on Tuesday, Sept. 27, was held inside Johnson Hall Parlor on the campus of Culver-Stockton College.
Faculty sponsor D’Ann Campbell, professor of history, along with Patrick Hotle, professor of history, and Scott Giltner, assistant professor of history, welcomed the 12 new members into the society, “whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians” and honors history majors and minors with a 3.1 grade point average in history and a 3.0 cumulative overall grade point average.
New inductees include:
Brant Beckman, senior history major from St. Louis, Mo.; Donald Gee, junior history major from Hamilton, Ill.; Kaitlyn Gutheil, senior history and education majors from Bettendorf, Iowa; Samantha Heinrich, sophomore history major from Hallsville, Mo.; Aaron Henke, senior history education major from Silex, Mo.; Anna Martin, senior history education major from Palmyra, Mo.; Kenneth Salsman, senior history education major from Palmyra, Mo.; Stephen Schindler, junior history and political science majors from Washington, Iowa; Jordan Smith, senior English education major from Hannibal, Mo.; Michael Strande, junior history and political science majors from House Springs, Mo.; Jake Wengerski, junior criminal justice major from Niles, Ill.
