CANTON, Mo. – In recognition of his longstanding commitment to education, Culver-Stockton College recently hosted a celebratory reception in honor of retiring Quincy Notre Dame Principal Ray Heilmann. Heilmann and his wife, Judy, a 1970 graduate of Culver-Stockton College, were welcomed by members of Culver-Stockton administration, faculty and staff during the reception.
Heilmann is retiring at the end of this school year after 39 years of service to Quincy Notre Dame High School. During the reception,
Culver-Stockton College President Richard Valentine commented on the tradition of educational cooperation between Quincy Notre Dame and Culver-Stockton. “We, at Culver-Stockton, are proud to be the college of choice for many QND graduates. We recognize that Quincy Notre Dame graduates are high achieving students, who come to Culver-Stockton seeking the same high quality education. We are also proud to say that a number of our alumni are faculty and staff members at QND, including Athletic Director and football coach Bill Connell, golf coach Charles Scholz, Athletic Administrator Frank Cash, Director of Christian Formation Scott Douglas and faculty member John Wyss. “But our institutions are not only linked by the students and teachers who fill our classrooms and walk our halls; we also share a commitment to educational excellence. Ray Heilmann, in his leadership at Quincy Notre Dame, has been instrumental in maintaining QND’s high academic standards, and we thank him for his years of service and dedication,” he concluded.
