“A big reason I decided to come to Culver-Stockton was to participate in Genomics Research. It is a two semester class. First semester we collect the samples and isolate the DNA. In the second semester, we actually got to sequence the DNA. With that, I got to go to Washington D.C. to a conference to present our findings. We actually found a new organism and we got published. I had access to a lot of high-tech stuff that you ordinarily would not have access to as a freshman in undergraduate studies. I get a lot of one on one interaction with my professors in my program too.” Cameron Morford, biological chemistry student from Knox City, Mo. Cameron plans on going on to medical school once he graduates Culver-Stockton.
